Not every treat works for every dog—but after testing a lot of options, these three manage to hit that sweet spot between reliable, high-quality, and genuinely loved by most pups I’ve met (and sniffed treats with).

Here’s my go-to trio:

Crumps’ Freeze Dried Beef Liver Treats

Why it works: Single-ingredient, high-value, and the closest thing to a guaranteed “YES” from any dog. Note: they are PERFECT for snuffle mats!

My take: It’s not glamorous, but it never fails. Even picky dogs turn into treat goblins for these crumbly little cubes. 🦴

Charlee Bear Crunch Dog Treats

Why it works: Light, crunchy, low-cal, and perfect for fast-paced training or casual snacking.

My take: I call these “the popcorn of dog treats.” You can toss a few without guilt, and dogs love the crunch. 🍿 We’re talkin’ MAJOR *CRONCH* appeal here.

WOOF Freeze Dried Lamb Green Tripe

(The NZ Natural Pet Food Co.)

Why it works: Nutrient-dense, great for gut health, and somehow dogs cannot get enough.

My take: Smells like a barn. Dogs go absolutely feral for it. Worth it. 🐑

Bonus Rule:

If it smells a little gross and makes you question your choices… your dog will probably love it. 💀

What would you add to the list?
